For over 35 years, YMA has influenced generations of young Muslims through transformational camps, classes and social activities. Now, for the first time, we are establishing a youth and educational facility in the heart of Dandenong. An exciting new chapter, and we cannot do it without your support.

YMA Markaz facilities.

Located at 11 Walker Street, Dandenong, the YMA Centre brings Islam to a former church building in the heart of the most densely Muslim-populated suburb in Victoria.

The building includes
  • A 200-person musalla (prayer space)
  • Half-court indoor basketball court
  • Multiple classrooms and office spaces
  • Commercial kitchen
  • Bathrooms and custom built wudhu areas for brothers and sisters
  • Generous courtyard area for gathering and playground.

  • Weekend Madrasah, teaching Qur’ān recitation and Basic Islamic Knowledge (Fardu Ayn)
  • ​Short Courses, focused on equiping the next generation of da’wah workers and confident Muslims with ‘Aqidah, Tajwid, Fiqh, History and ’Ilm al-Ihsan
  • Friday Night Live, a weekly recharge for families all across Melbourne
  • Women’s Only days, facilitating for Islamic-centric spaces to be exclusively used by our sisters.
  • Weekly Sports, basketball, futsal, and many more
  • Community BBQ’s, Iftars, Mawalid, Spoken Poetry nights, Youth nights
  • Salat al-Tarawih, Salat al-Jumuah and more.
